Business Development Manager – Entertainment & Live Events

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Base Annual Salary: $70,000 - $110,000

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm

Work Location: Etobicoke, Onsite

We’re looking for a driven, focused and strong relationship builder to be Business Development Manager – Entertainment & Live Events to accelerate our growth across established production channels and expand into high-impact live event markets, including concerts, sports, and brand activations.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the next phase of our growth within a fast-moving, high-performance team.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business and revenue growth across film, television, and commercial productions.
  • Identify, develop, and close opportunities within emerging live event sectors (concerts, sports, experiential marketing, brand activations).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, production managers, event organizers, and agency partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet complex production and event needs.
  • Develop strategic account plans and consistently exceed sales targets.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive positioning.
  • Represent Up Right Services and Starline Group at industry events, networking functions, and on-site activations.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Communications); education in film production is an asset.
  • Proven success in business development, sales, or partnerships.
  • Experience within film, TV, events, or a related industry preferred.
  • Strong network within production and/or live events is a major asset
  • Understanding of team dynamics and collective goals
  • Proven achievement in sales and client service with a minimum of5 years of experience.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate fast-paced environments and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker who can also execute tactically.
