b) Support service and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes, including shipping and receiving of replacement parts or defective items, including fabricated components.
7) Safety Compliance:
a) Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including OSHA regulations and industry-specific standards for handling heavy materials and operating fabrication equipment.
b) Conduct regular safety training and maintain a safe, organized warehouse and fabrication environment.
8) Process Optimization:
a) Develop and implement efficient warehouse and fabrication processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations.
b) Identify opportunities for automation or technology upgrades in both inventory management and aluminum fabrication.
c) Produce line cards for setup and fabrication of key components used by Universal’s racking solutions.
9) Equipment Maintenance:
a) Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of warehouse and fabrication equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, racking systems, and aluminum fabrication tools.
b) Schedule regular inspections and repairs to minimize downtime.
10) Quality Control:
a) Ensure all incoming, fabricated, and outgoing materials meet quality standards.
b) Inspect shipments and fabricated components for damage, defects, or dimensional inaccuracies and address issues promptly with suppliers or internal teams.
c) Maintain a log to verify a and b above.
11) Data Reporting:
a) Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, fabrication output, order accuracy, and fulfillment times.
b) Prepare reports for senior management to support decision-making.
12) Vendor Communication:
a) Work with suppliers and logistics providers to resolve issues related to deliveries, shortages, or damaged goods, including raw aluminum stock and fabricated components.
b) Maintain strong relationships to ensure reliable supply chains.
13) Budget Management:
a) Assist in developing and managing the warehouse and fabrication budget, including labor costs, equipment maintenance, and supplies.
b) Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or efficiency.
