We are seeking a Pickleball Program Lead & Instructor to lead, manage, and grow a structured, competitive pickleball program at Unity. This is a prospective position.

Responsibilities
Instruction & On-Court Delivery
- Lead high-quality pickleball lessons, clinics, and competitive gameplay sessions for individuals and groups of up to 16 participants.
- Coach players across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
- Deliver skills instruction, drills, gameplay strategy, and match-based learning.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and professional on-court environment.
Competitive League Leadership
- Design, organize, and run competitive pickleball leagues, including ladders, round-robins, and tiered divisions.
- Create league formats, rulesets, schedules, and playoff structures.
- Coordinate matchups, standings, results tracking, and competitive fairness.
- Actively manage league flow week-to-week to ensure a strong participant experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for league participants.
Member Communication & Engagement
- Communicate clearly and consistently with members regarding match schedules, rules, standings, and expectations.
- Coordinate league communications through platforms such as WhatsApp or similar tools.
- Foster a competitive but welcoming pickleball community aligned with Unity’s standards.
Operations & Setup
- Set up and tear down pickleball nets and related equipment for all sessions.
- Ensure courts are properly prepared and reset before and after programming.
- Support smooth operational transitions between gymnasium uses.
Events & Tournaments
- Plan and execute paid pickleball tournaments and competitive events.
- Oversee tournament flow, match progression, and participant experience.
- Work with the Unity team to deliver organized, high-quality competitive events.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 1 Pickleball Pro certification from a reputable certification body (PPR, IPTPA, PCI, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated previous experience running competitive pickleball leagues.
- Proven ability to organize schedules, divisions, standings, and match play.
- Experience instructing and managing groups of up to 16 participants.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Comfortable coordinating competitive environments and managing player expectations.
- Professional, reliable, and member-focused approach.
- High energy, strong presence, and passion for competitive sport.
- Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift and move equipment required for net setup and teardown.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay:
- $21.00/hour for regular programming, lessons, and league hours
- $40.00/hour for paid tournaments and special event hours
- Schedule: Flexible; evenings and weekends required
- Work Location: In person
