Job Description

In this role at United Descaler Private Limited, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across cosmetic and personal care product lines. As a QC/QA Specialist, your primary focus will be on conducting testing, maintaining quality systems, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing of raw materials, bulk, semi-finished, and finished products following approved specifications and methods.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and correctly use analytical instruments and equipment.
  • Perform stability studies, microbial tests, and physical/chemical parameter checks.
  • Maintain and review QC records, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and batch release documents.
  • Identify and report non-conformities, deviations, or quality issues to relevant departments.

Quality Assurance (QA):

  • Implement and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in production and quality areas.
  • Review and approve batch manufacturing records, SOPs, and product specifications.
  • Assist in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (BIS, FDA, ISO, etc.).
  • Support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with R&D, production, and packaging teams for quality-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with labelling, packaging, and safety standards for cosmetic and personal care products.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology, or related field.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in QC/QA within the cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG sector.
  • Proficiency in analytical instruments such as pH meter, viscometer, spectrophotometer, and microbiological equipment.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO 22716, BIS, and other regulatory guidelines relevant to cosmetics.
  • Strong understanding of formulation ingredients, preservative efficacy, and product stability testing.
