Full Stack Engineer

UnionSky Systems LLC is building the OMX Platform — a web-based portal that serves as the command center for an IoT-connected Oil Management System (OMS) deployed across commercial kitchen and food-service networks. You'll be the primary developer bringing this platform to life, working directly with our engineering and business leadership.

This role has a clear growth path:

• Phase 1 — 6-week initial development contract to build and launch the platform
• Phase 2 — Long-term service contract for ongoing portal maintenance and support (based on successful delivery)
• Long-term — Real potential to transition into a full-time position with UnionSky Systems as we grow

We're a small, fast-moving team. If you deliver, you'll have a home here. And if you're into UAS systems and have experience with them, even better because we are building some of the world's best drones as well.

What You'll Build

• Multi-role web portal with three access tiers: Location Manager, Network Owner, and System Owner with full admin rights
• Real-time sensor dashboards — live oil tank levels, temperatures, and alarm states
• Configurable alert thresholds with email, SMS, and in-app notifications
• Historical data views with sorting, filtering, and table views across all locations
• Dispatch and route scheduling tools with per-stop volume tracking and route optimization
• Automated temperature control logic using live weather API data to adjust tank heater setpoints per site
• Data export in CSV and PDF formats for network owners

Requirements

• Proven full-stack web development experience
• Experience with real-time data, websockets, or live-updating dashboards
• Role-based access control implementation
• REST API design and third-party API integration
• Server-side or client-side CSV/PDF generation
• Production-quality UI — no rough prototypes
• Strong async written communication skills

Nice to Have

• IoT or sensor data platform experience
• Multi-tenant SaaS architecture
• Scheduling or logistics software background
• Weather API integrations
• Experience building software for field-deployed hardware
