Funding Specialist - Ontario

UnionLink Mortgage (ULM) is a fast-growing mortgage lender backed by WFCU, focused on delivering a seamless lending experience to mortgage brokers through technology and sharp execution. We’re looking for a Funding Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to keep deals moving from conditional approval to broker complete.

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters by reviewing documents post-conditional approval to provide added due diligence and accelerate turnaround time.
• Order appraisals through FCT and other platforms, ensuring timely delivery and follow-up.
• Instruct deals to lawyers with precision and clarity, coordinating all required documentation
• Manage a pipeline of deals from “conditionally approved” to “broker complete,” ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
• ​Communicate with brokers, lawyers, and internal teams to resolve issues and keep files on track.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in mortgage funding or underwriting support
• Strong understanding of mortgage documentation and funding conditions
• Familiarity with appraisal ordering platforms and broker systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear, confident communication skills — written and verbal
• Bilingualism (English/French) is a plus
