Job Description: The candidate for this position will have a solid and proven track record with providing end user IT support. A minimum of 1+ years of full time IT experience is required for the candidate. The IT Field Technician is the first point of contact for all IT related queries for our customers. Technical assistance will be provided over the phone and in person at various locations around the GTA. This position requires an outgoing, motivated, confident and ambitious individual. In addition to technical skills, it is expected that the candidate will also possess excellent customer-facing skills (both written and verbal). Full time use of an automobile is required.

Responsibilities include

• End user hardware support including workstations, mobile phones, network equipment (Switches, Routers, WIFI), printers, copiers and phone systems.
• End user software support for Microsoft Office Suite (2010, 2013 and Office 365), Windows Operating System (Windows 10 and 11), QuickBooks and various other software packages
• Ensure all Help-desk calls are properly entered into Tuor’s ticket system and completed in a timely fashion
• Setup, configure and deploy new and existing hardware and software
• Provide end user training
• Provide Tier 1 & 2 onsite support for clients around the GTA

Proficiency in the following areas of technology is required.

• Microsoft Based Technology -- Knowledge of Windows platforms, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Office 365 Pro Plus, Active Directory and other Microsoft server-family products.
• Security and Network -- Knowledge of Fortigate and SonicWALL firewalls & VPN’s, Unifi WIFI, Cisco and HP Switches, Barracuda Cloud, N-Able and Datto backup, and other related products.
• End User Devices – Demonstrated knowledge of working with a mixture of end user devices such as IOS, Android, Lenovo/Dell/HP workstations and other related products.
• Personal Organization -- Excellence at time management; maximize efficiency in client contact; meet deadlines, commitments, and project requirements.

Education

One of the following is required: a) Degree or Diploma or b) Microsoft Certification. Other industry certifications would be an asset.
