Corporate Accountant
Full-time - CPA / CA preferred - On-site - Competitive compensation
We are looking for a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to manage statutory compliance, financial reporting, and tax obligations for our Indian entity. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of both direct and indirect taxation frameworks applicable under Indian law.
Key responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and file statutory financial statements in compliance with Companies Act, 2013
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during assessments
- Oversee payroll accounting and ensure TDS compliance on salary disbursements
- Handle advance tax computations, MAT calculations, and corporate tax filings
- Ensure timely GST return filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) and manage ITC reconciliations
- Respond to tax notices and support transfer pricing documentation
Tax knowledge required
Direct taxes
- Income Tax Act, 1961
- Corporate Tax & MAT (Section 115JB)
- TDS / TCS compliance (Sections 192–206C)
- Advance tax planning & computation
- Transfer pricing (Chapter X)
- Assessment & appeal proceedings
Indirect taxes
- GST – CGST / SGST / IGST
- GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 filings
- Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation
- Customs Duty & Import duties
- E-way bill compliance
- GST audit & annual return
Qualifications
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent degree
- 3–7 years of relevant accounting and tax experience
- Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems
- Strong understanding of Indian GAAP and Ind AS
