Exco is a major tooling supplier for tier-one OEMs such as GM, Ford, and Fiat Chrysler Automotive in North America and Daimler AG in Europe. Exco specializes in the design and manufacture of large dies including those used for casting engine blocks, transmission cases and structural parts. See our website for more details Additive Manufacturing Engineer (Full-time, Permanent)### About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated Engineer to join our Additive Manufacturing team. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of our additive business and take on critical responsibilities in designing and engineering innovative additive solutions tailored to the High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) industry.Key responsibilities include:* Design and engineering additive solutions to meet the needs of the HPDC industry.* Preparing, improving, and maintaining design and process documentation to ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency.* Over time, becoming the primary point of contact for select customers regarding additive tooling solutions, providing guidance and technical support as their trusted advisor.Required Qualifications:* This position requires an degree in mechanical engineering from a strong academic program and school.* The position will require much unsupervised time and as such it is critical for the candidate be a self-starter with ideas and energy to spare.* Experience with CAD packages is an asset, and certainly an aptitude and inclination to learn CAD/CAM/CAE is essential.* Experience in metal casting and/or metallurgy is an asset.Other Qualifications:* 3-5 years of experience in an engineering role, ideally with NX or other leading CAD packages.* Familiarity with one or more additive manufacturing processes is a plus.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.* A working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).If you're passionate about additive manufacturing and ready to take on an exciting and dynamic role in a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their cover letter and resume to:Wessel Byleveld thank all candidates for their interest; however, only those qualified for the position will be contacted.
