Senior Backend Developer Node Js Ai Native Developer Tumakuru (India)

As a Senior Backend Developer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable backend services using Node.js. Your role will also involve designing and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance and reliability, developing RESTful APIs and microservices, and collaborating closely with frontend (React) and product teams in a MERN stack setup. Additionally, you will implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices, write effective, testable, and reusable code, and improve CI/CD pipelines and backend observability. You will leverage tools like Claude Code and Cursor to enhance development velocity and participate in code reviews while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable backend services using Node.js
• Design and optimize MongoDB schemas for performance & reliability
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices
• Work closely with frontend (React) and product teams in a MERN stack setup
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Write effective, testable, and reusable code
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and backend observability
• Leverage tools like Claude Code and Cursor to enhance development velocity
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications Required:

• 45 years of backend development experience
• Robust expertise in Node.js and asynchronous programming
• Deep understanding of MongoDB performance tuning
• Experience building scalable APIs used in production
• Knowledge of system design and distributed systems basics
• Familiarity with authentication (JWT, OAuth)
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code / Cursor
• Solid debugging and problem-solving skills

In addition to the above, it is preferred if you have experience with high-growth SaaS products, a background in performance optimization at scale, experience working in Agile environments, understanding of caching (Redis), queues, and event-driven architecture, as well as exposure to AI/NLP-based systems.
