Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and staff management
- Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold brand standards
- Manage shift operations efficiently by coordinating staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage during peak hours
- Oversee food handling, safety protocols, and cleanliness to ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards
- Control inventory levels through accurate stock management, ordering supplies as needed to minimize waste and control costs
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and reconciliation
- Train new staff members on food service procedures, POS usage, customer interaction, and safety protocols
- Support kitchen management by supervising food production processes and ensuring timely delivery of orders in a quick service or casual dining environment
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and implementing promotional initiatives to enhance restaurant profitability
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and ongoing training & development
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining settings
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; proficient cash handling skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and food industry regulations
- Experience with staff training & development programs and interviewing potential team members
- Hospitality management background preferred; hotel or catering experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in kitchen management and food production processes
