Job Description
Instructor – Massage Therapy
Trillium College is seeking qualified instructors to teach in the Massage Therapy program. This role involves delivering approved curriculum in accordance with the Career Colleges Act, 2005 (Ontario) and internal academic policies..
Position Summary
The Instructor is responsible for teaching course material, supporting student learning, evaluating student progress, and maintaining accurate academic documentation. Instruction must align with approved curriculum and regulatory expectations for Ontario career colleges.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach course material following the approved syllabus and curriculum guidelines.
- Use instructional methods appropriate for adult learners.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and practical assessments.
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and grades.
- Support a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment.
- Comply with all institutional policies and the requirements of the Career Colleges Act, 2005.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Massage Therapy - Active Registration with CMTO.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience.
- Ability to deliver curriculum, assess student learning, and manage a classroom effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching or training adults.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with learning management systems or classroom technology.
Class Schedules
Day Classes: Monday–Thursday 8AM-1PM (Fridays off).
Program-Specific Requirements and Duties
Massage Therapy instructors are required to hold an active registration with the CMTO.
The Trillium College Massage Therapy program is registered as “hybrid” delivery. Students attend at the campus for labs and learn on-line for theory. The current posted position is for labs at the campus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
