Trident Maritime Systems, LLC, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is currently recruiting a passionate Production Support professional to join our dedicated outfitting team at our Vancouver, BC location.

  • *Duties & Responsibilities**

The position will be responsible for supporting our production supervision team in ensuring that work on the vessel is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, manufacturers recommendations, and or Trident methodology.

This will include dimensional checks to confirm that equipment is located correctly within a compartment, and is laid out according to the applicable installation drawing.

In the hot work stage of the job, it will be required to check that Trident tack welding has been done in accordance with Trident’s and our customers’ standards.

Checks will be made that equipment installation procedures have been followed correctly, and that the correct materials and hardware have been used, and that installation details have been followed.

As work is completed, checks will be made to ensure proper fit and finish has been achieved to an acceptable standard.

In addition to the above, the position will also be required to implement and maintain Trident and shipyard safety protocols.

This will entail, ensuring that production personnel have all PPE required, and will also include preparing and maintaining paperwork pertaining to the safety program and generating reports in the event of accidents or injuries.

  • *Required Skills and Education**
  • 3 -5 years' relevant experience in a Quality Control AND Quality Assurance setting in a heavy industrial construction environment
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • First Aid Level 1, 2 or 3, WHIMIS, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, and Aerial Work Platform certification preferred.
  • *Preferred Skills and Education**
  • Experience with Process Safety Management.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal and Provincial legislation for OH&S.
  • Knowledge of Confined Space & Hot Work Environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality Management System is a plus.
  • *Industry**
  • Ship Construction/Maritime Industry

Pay: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
