Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate employee compensation records. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong expertise in payroll systems and accounting software, capable of leading a team and collaborating with human resources and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll administration.

Duties

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing using ADP WFN for union and non-union employees in multiple Provinces.
  • Automate manual payroll processes.
  • Restructure the payroll function.
  • Ensure accurate data entry related to employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits.
  • Reconcile accounts related to payroll transactions and maintain precise records for audit purposes.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable related to payroll expenses and employee reimbursements.
  • Perform analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure proper classification of employees and compliance with labor laws.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information and ensure adherence to data privacy standards.
  • Prepare reports on payroll activities for management review and audit purposes.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, wage regulations, and compliance requirements affecting payroll processing.

Skills

  • Proficient in ADP WFN.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience modernizing and automating a payroll department.
  • Expertise in human resources information systems (HRIS) and related technologies.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in processing large volumes of information.
  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable management and account reconciliation processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret payroll data and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and financial recordkeeping standards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments including finance and human resources.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $76,588.71-$120,550.48 per year
