Job details:

Evaporation and Utility sections of refinery is critical to produces Alumina tri-hydrate through Bayer Circuit. Evaporation is the key for plant volume management and hence for maintaining water balance of the plant. Other Utility sections like Lime Area, Cooling towers, Water treatment plant, HFO/Caustic unloading/storage area are important processes to supplement the Alumina production process.

Synergizing the experience of the operations with the technical expertise to achieve hydrate volume at best efficiency.

Knowledge updation for meeting technical challenges will play a big role in the present context.

Building production capability through achieving steam economy in evaporation section

Quality control – condensate quality, MOL density control, CT water quality, Water quality after treatment

Benchmarking of process parameters and best practice across the alumina refinery

Understand and operationalize the control loops as per design intent.

Standardization of MIS Reports and data capture from DCS

Quality inspection of incoming raw materials – HFO, Lime, Caustic

Specialty chemicals: Identification and introduction alternative/cost-effective chemicals in Evaporation & Utility Sections after establishing through laboratory and field trials.Key Result Areas

Process Control in Evaporation & Utility Sections

1.Achieve Steam Economy at P&B

2.Evaporation rate at target.

3.Equipment cleaning & turnaround planning. Optimizing MaxHT dosing.

4.Monitor and work on process automation

1.Maintaining condensate quality

1.Raw material management as per P&B

Process optimization & Debottlenecking

4.Conducting lab scale & plant scale trials for cost control and /or efficiency improvement.

System Management

1.Providing technical input in preparation and implementation of standard operating procedures, job safety analysis.

Bulk & Specialty Raw Material

1.Raw material requirement planning.

2.Co-ordination with commercial department for timely delivery of all raw material to ensure uninterrupted plant operation.

3.Raw material inventory and stock records monitoring and supervision and discrepancy reporting.

4.Optimization of raw material consumption

Process Inventory & Verification

1.Planning, executing and managing all type of process inventory exercise.

2.Reporting inventory exercise. Identifying & implementing required action plans.

Process Control Data Bank

1.Development of process control data bank templates & automation tools.

2.Preparing monthly plant performance report.

3.MIS calculation & Reporting

4.Energy report preparation and monitoring of energy initiatives in Plant

5.Implementation of process control data bank tools.

6.Regular supervising of data bank maintaining team.
