Warehouse Forklift and Walkie Rider Pallet Jack

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse distribution operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting.

The Forklift

Operator plays a vital part in maintaining smooth warehouse workflows and ensuring accurate order picking and inventory management using warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and Walkie, to move materials within the warehouse
• Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, and storage areas with precision
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs
• Assist with order picking processes, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records
• Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock and maintaining a clean work environment
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during forklift operation

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts, and walkie rider including clamp trucks and order pickers
• Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management
• Excellent safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols in a warehouse setting
• Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is a plus
