Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical work, with experience reading blueprints and schematics, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including construction, renovation, and industrial settings, ensuring safety and compliance with all electrical codes.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installations and repairs
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks efficiently
  • Perform wiring of low voltage systems, control panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Assist with renovation projects by upgrading existing electrical systems or installing new wiring
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies
  • Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or remodeling projects
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used

Skills

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for complex electrical systems
  • Experience as an industrial electrician or in construction environments involving electrical work
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage wiring, PLCs, and control systems
  • Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, as well as power tools like drills and saws
  • Familiarity with renovation projects and handyman tasks related to electrical systems
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical installations and maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
