Our team operates at the intersection of software, hardware, and autonomy, ensuring that complex system behaviors are thoroughly tested before deployment to vehicle platforms.</p> <p data-start="556" data-end="897">As a Senior Systems Test Engineer – HiL, you will play a key role in designing, building, and executing HiL-based validation strategies for autonomous driving software. You’ll work closely with systems, perception, planning, and software teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality system performance across the autonomy stack.</p> <p data-section-id="1uboqym" data-start="904" data-end="925"><strong data-start="907" data-end="925">What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul data-start="927" data-end="2194"> <li data-section-id="1m4fq2q" data-start="927" data-end="1065">Design, develop, and maintain HiL test benches to support validation of autonomous driving software and system-level functionality</li> <li data-section-id="1cp2wgs" data-start="1066" data-end="1208">Define and execute test strategies, test cases, and validation plans based on system requirements, safety goals, and integration needs</li> <li data-section-id="mwvjmb" data-start="1209" data-end="1331">Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test coverage, repeatability, and efficiency</li> <li data-section-id="iuyv5d" data-start="1332" data-end="1476">Integrate hardware and software components into HiL environments, managing interfaces, data flows, and synchronization across subsystems</li> <li data-section-id="1s6y2b3" data-start="1477" data-end="1594">Conduct verification and validation (V&amp;V) activities in alignment with safety standards such as ISO 26262</li> <li data-section-id="l2mz46" data-start="1595" data-end="1728">Support the integration and validation of new autonomy features across perception, sensor fusion, and vehicle control systems</li> <li data-section-id="jhkzth" data-start="1729" data-end="1853">Utilize tools and frameworks such as ROS/ROS2, CAN-based systems, and simulation platforms for testing and debugging</li> <li data-section-id="11fm0kg" data-start="1854" data-end="1967">Analyze test results, investigate system-level issues, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive resolution</li> <li data-section-id="9afzzu" data-start="1968" data-end="2084">Document test procedures, results, and defects, and communicate findings to engineering and program stakeholders</li> <li data-section-id="1hqzn6c" data-start="2085" data-end="2194">Continuously improve HiL infrastructure, tooling, and workflows to support scalable and efficient testing</li> </ul> <p data-section-id="1vjkm6e" data-start="2201" data-end="2235"><strong data-start="2204" data-end="2235">What You’ll Need to Succeed</strong></p> <ul data-start="2237" data-end="3507"> <li data-section-id="r6ld0q" data-start="2237" data-end="2436">Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field</li> <li data-section-id="13e8876" data-start="2437" data-end="2560">Strong experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing, including test bench setup, integration, and maintenance</li> <li data-section-id="1drp7je" data-start="2561" data-end="2676">Experience working with HiL platforms such as dSPACE, National Instruments (NI), Vector, or similar systems</li> <li data-section-id="1s46awa" data-start="2677" data-end="2826">Solid understanding of autonomous driving systems, including sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras), perception, sensor fusion, and vehicle dynamics</li> <li data-section-id="12v1voa" data-start="2827" data-end="2922">Experience developing and executing test cases and validation plans for complex systems</li> <li data-section-id="fs9sis" data-start="2923" data-end="3017">Proficiency in Python and/or C++, with experience building test automation and tooling</li> <li data-section-id="1jtfmcc" data-start="3018" data-end="3140">Experience with ROS/ROS2, including node development, system integration, and debugging tools (e.g., rviz, rosbag)</li> <li data-section-id="1foe1pe" data-start="3141" data-end="3230">Familiarity with CAN protocols and tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, or similar</li> <li data-section-id="11e8mjx" data-start="3231" data-end="3313">Experience integrating complex systems across hardware and software boundaries</li> <li data-section-id="jv33f3" data-start="3314" data-end="3412">Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug system-level issues in complex environments</li> <li data-section-id="1dc8wt2" data-start="3413" data-end="3507">Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment</li> </ul> <p data-section-id="2357y7" data-start="3514" data-end="3533"><strong data-start="3517" data-end="3533">Bonus Points</strong></p> <ul data-start="3535" data-end="3946"> <li data-section-id="6baouj" data-start="3535" data-end="3642">Experience testing autonomous vehicles or ADAS systems in production or pre-production environments</li> <li data-section-id="1la5dsh" data-start="3643" data-end="3722">Familiarity with simulation frameworks or model-based development tools</li> <li data-section-id="1qwowmq" data-start="3723" data-end="3814">Experience supporting safety-critical system validation and regulatory requirements</li> <li data-section-id="1uqpx8" data-start="3815" data-end="3871">Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments</li> <li data-section-id="1wdmqi2" data-start="3872" data-end="3946">Exposure to cloud-based data systems or large-scale test data analysis</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Location: </strong>For this position, we are open to hiring in Ann Arbor, MI (U.S.) office work locations in a hybrid capacity.
