The Base Material Coordinator works closely with the Director of Inventory to manage essential stores and support safety initiatives. You'll be responsible for accurately tracking hazardous materials, executing shipping requirements, and ensuring compliance with policies. This position offers an opportunity to engage in critical logistics activities, contributing directly to military readiness and safety programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory of hazardous materials and explosives
- Conduct inspections and manage merchandise storage
- Create RFQs for pricing and availability
- Communicate with suppliers for timely deliveries
- Prepare items for shipping in compliance with regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory or stores management
- Previous military or aviation logistics background preferred
- Excellent MS Office skills; ERP experience an asset
- Strong verbal communication skills in English
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working independently
