Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer with strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. You will play a key role in designing APIs, architecting multi-tenant applications, and deploying services in cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI, aiohttp, Flask, or Django).
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices for scalability and reliability.
- Implement containerized deployments using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Architect and manage multi-user/multi-tenant systems.
- Integrate and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases with efficient data modeling.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) for cloud resource management.
- Ensure application security, networking fundamentals, and compliance (DNS, SSL/TLS, firewalls, load balancing).
- Monitor and improve system performance using observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 24+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Python (experience with async frameworks like FastAPI or aiohttp is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Proven experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Experience with multi-user or multi-tenant application architecture.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, SSL/TLS, load balancing, firewalls).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Knowledge of GraphQL.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
