Farm Maintenance Technician

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and precision measuring instruments.
• Repair or replace components using welding, hydraulics, electrical wiring, and mechanical techniques.
• Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts to access high or hard-to-reach areas safely.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Assist with installation and calibration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems.
• Support safety protocols by inspecting high voltage systems, low voltage controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues using analysis skills and industrial electrician experience.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal teams by ensuring machinery uptime and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility or agricultural setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding ( welding preferred), hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with schematics, control systems, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment including scissor lifts and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
• Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems; industrial electrician experience is a plus.
• Excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues quickly in a field service environment.
• Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer service interactions.
• Military background or industrial mechanic experience is highly valued for this role.
