The Senior SharePoint Support Analyst is responsible for the stability, usability, and security of our SharePoint environments (SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server). This role combines advanced troubleshooting with platform administration, user enablement, and governance implementation. You will partner with business stakeholders, security/compliance, and other IT teams to deliver reliable collaboration solutions, streamline content management, and drive adoption across Microsoft 365.

Platform Administration & Operations

  • Manage and support SharePoint Online tenants and/or SharePoint Server farms (Central Admin, service applications, health rules).
  • Administer site collections, permissions, sharing policies, and external access in line with governance and compliance standards.
  • Monitor performance, capacity, and service health; proactively remediate issues and optimize configurations.

Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Maintain standards for naming, metadata/taxonomy, content types, and templates.

Automation & Customization

  • Build and support Power Automate flows, Power Apps, and site scripts to streamline processes.

User Enablement & Documentation

  • Create and maintain runbooks, admin guides, and user-facing knowledge articles.
  • Deliver training, office hours, and consultative support for site owners and business champions.

Job Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years supporting and administering SharePoint (Online and/or Server 2016/2019).

Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of SharePoint architecture: site collections, content types, managed metadata, lists/libraries, web parts, pages, search, and service apps.
  • Strong PowerShell skills for administration, reporting, and automation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365: Teams, OneDrive, Viva Connections, Purview (DLP/Retention/eDiscovery), Entra ID (Azure AD) highly desirable.
  • Understanding of security, compliance, and governance frameworks (sharing policies, sensitivity labels, conditional access).

Professional Skills

  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer service mindset; calm under pressure with incident leadership capability.
  • Process-oriented with documentation discipline and attention to detail.

Education & Certifications (Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified (Administrator Expert), Teams Administrator Associate, Power Platform Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals; ITIL Foundation highly desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Nintex/K2 or other workflow tools; third party governance/migration platforms.
  • Knowledge of records management and industry compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOX, CJIS, GDPR).
  • Experience with tenant-to-tenant consolidation and merger/divestiture scenarios.
