AI Backend Developer (Text-to-SQL Focus)

Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on AI Backend Developer with ~4–5 years of experience to join our platform team. This role focuses on building backend services and data solutions that power AI-driven applications — especially text-to-SQL capabilities used by financial advisors to query data using natural language.

You’ll work at the intersection of .NET development, SQL/data engineering, and AI integration, helping ensure AI-generated queries are accurate, performant, and usable in a real-world financial environment.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain backend APIs and services using .NET/C# on Azure
• Develop and support AI-driven features, including text-to-SQL solutions
• Work heavily with SQL — writing, optimizing, and validating complex queries
• Ensure accuracy and performance of AI-generated SQL against real datasets
• Collaborate with data teams to structure and expose data for AI consumption
• Contribute to AI integration patterns (prompting, RAG, etc.) in a practical, production setting

What We’re Looking For

• Not more than 4–5 years of backend development experience (.NET/C# preferred)
• Strong SQL skills (query writing, optimization, schema understanding)
• Experience working with data platforms (SQL Server, Databricks, Fabric, etc.)
• Exposure to AI/LLM tools (especially text-to-SQL or data-focused use cases)
• Experience with Azure is a plus
• Ability to work across backend + data + AI use cases
