Database & Systems Security Administrator (1.0 FTE Permanent)

The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board’s IT Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Database & Systems Security Administrator. Reporting to the Supervisor of Information Technology, this position will be responsible for the administration, security, optimization, and management of user account lifecycles across the Board’s Student Information System (SIS), enterprise databases, school messaging systems, and related systems infrastructure. Tasks include, but are not limited to, working closely with administrators and staff to maintain the student information system, ensuring the data privacy and security of all IT systems, providing timely reporting and data, overseeing and maintaining Board databases, developing and maintaining scripts used to automate data synchronization and system processes, and implementing and managing role-based system access controls while maintaining user account lifecycle processes across all systems.

The preferred candidate will have expertise in a broad range of technologies with a proven history of strong customer and technical support. Specialization in student information systems, database administration, system security, and programming are considered strong assets for this position. The ideal candidate will hold a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and/or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience, supplemented by relevant certifications and professional training.

Salary Range= $72,663-$92,047
