Job Description

As a Quality Engineer at Thomson Reuters, you play a crucial role in enhancing testing quality and validation by acting as a liaison between Thomson Reuters testers and business testers. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing robust test plans for comprehensive end-to-end testing, operating with guidance to balance testing efforts between technical and receiving sides, and engaging with cross-functional teams to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between Thomson Reuters testers and business testers to ensure robust communication and enhance testing quality and validation.
  • Develop and implement robust test plans to ensure comprehensive end-to-end testing.
  • Operate with a moderate level of guidance and direction, balancing testing efforts between technical and receiving sides.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to execute and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Understand product strategy and objectives, aligning QA Engineering work accordingly.
  • Address routine objections and concerns with limited support; escalate when needed.
  • Create operating mechanisms to ensure all voices are heard within the project team.
  • Share information clearly and articulately via all mediums to all audiences.
  • Learn, adapt, and bounce back from setbacks effectively.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Developing QA Engineer professional.
  • Extensive experience in test coordination and managing test plans.
  • Understanding of risk management and problem-solving in testing processes.
  • Knowledge in testing methodologies, including end-to-end and cross-functional testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and environments.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into test cases.
  • Able to interpret customer scenarios and convert them into manual and/or automated test scripts.
