Area Manager (Community Social Services)

We are seeking a skilled, experienced and dynamic individual to fill the position of Area Manager for the Interior. This position is based in Kamloops.

Reporting to the Director of Services, we are seeking a skilled leader with a minimum of three years’ professional experience in the Community Social Services field. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this person must have superior communication skills and an ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Area Manager must be able to work independently, and be responsible for the daily operations of the programs in this region.

The successful applicant will have a combination of experience and knowledge in the following areas:

• Service Delivery—commitment to the principles of person-centered service delivery, ensuring excellence in all programs;
• Leadership—providing direction and functioning as an exemplar; experience with human resources and labour relations is an asset
• Administration—developing and maintaining organizational functioning; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Community—promoting awareness and building relationships with stakeholders.

This is a salaried management position, with an annual starting salary of $88,481, based on education, credentials, and experience. The compensation package includes company-paid benefits, and a defined benefit pension plan through the Municipal Pension Plan.

A personal vehicle and valid driver’s license are required.

This position will remain open until filled. Start date will be determined.
