Compensation: This position pays on a Flat Rate basis, which is the standard pay structure in the automotive repair industry. Every repair job has a set number of labor hours assigned to it. You get paid for those billed hours regardless of how long the job actually takes. The faster and more efficiently you complete quality work, the more you earn. Experienced technicians who work smart can earn significantly more than a standard hourly wage.

Duties and Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrain components, and suspension systems, including diesel engine repair, and minor auto body repair when necessary. Service brakes, shocks and struts, tires, wheel alignments, and tire services to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid replacements, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and maintenance tasks across various vehicle systems. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and ensure all work complies with dealership standards and safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications: Experience a must — strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures is required.

West Virginia State Inspector Certification is preferred.

Must have own complete tool set.

Dealership experience with a strong understanding of service department operations.

Expertise in ADAS calibration, air brake systems, welding, and auto estimating software is highly valued but not required.

Solid mechanical knowledge of all makes of vehicles; familiarity with transmissions and powertrain components. Proficiency in using schematics, vehicle maintenance protocols, and diagnostic equipment.

Hands-on experience with welding techniques and auto body repair is a plus.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
