Bookkeeping Position
Assistant to Office Manager/Bookkeeper
Reconciling Servers/Front Desk Daily Receipts Using Excel and paying gratuities as required
Other duties may include the following:
Using Sage 50 Quantum/Simply Accounting:
Data entry and filing of Accounts Payable/Vendor invoices
Printing Vendor payment cheques as directed
Reconciling Vendor statements received
Setting up new employees when hired
Issuing Bi-weekly payroll, ROE’s and related Government remittances
Addressing issues from staff regarding pay and gratuities
Reconciling Outstanding Gift Card reports to Ledger balance
Ensuring new hires have completed proper forms
Preparing Bank Deposits, and taking to bank if needed
Making cash payouts for staff expenses when needed
Handling incoming, and outgoing mail, using Postage Meter
Paying utilities\vendor invoices on line when required
Answering phone and emails as required
Reporting HST, EHT and WSIB premiums monthly, if requested
Familiarity with Hospitality Sector and 5 Star Hotel System would be an asset but not required
Confidentiality is mandatory, Reliable transportation required
Secondary School graduate, with three years experience preferred, but training in some of these duties will be provided if needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
