Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant & Bookkeeper who is proficient in Vyapaar accounting software and experienced in handling accounts for a trading business. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work independently, maintain accurate books, ensure timely GST compliance, and provide the business owner with clear financial visibility. This is a full-time, on-site role based at our office in Changodar.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping – recording sales, purchases, payments, and receipts
• Record and reconcile all financial transactions accurately in Vyapaar software
• Prepare and maintain GST records; assist with GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings
• Track and manage accounts payable and receivable; follow up on outstanding dues
• Generate monthly profit & loss statements and balance sheets for review
• Handle vendor and supplier invoices, verify amounts, and process payments
• Manage petty cash and day-to-day business expense tracking
• Assist with TDS deductions and coordinate annual ITR filing with the CA
• Maintain inventory-related financial records for paints and power tools stock
• Liaise with the business owner on budgets, cash flow, and financial planning
• Generate e-way bills and assist with supply-chain documentation where required

Requirements

• B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance
• Minimum 1–3 years of practical accounting experience, preferably in a trading or distribution business
• Hands-on experience with Vyapaar accounting software (mandatory – candidates without this will not be considered)
• Good working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic tax compliance
• Proficiency in MS Excel for MIS reports and reconciliation
• Honest, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi; basic English for documentation and reporting
• Solid understanding of GST laws including input tax credit, GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), and reconciliation
• Solid foundational accounting knowledge including double-entry bookkeeping, ledgers, trial balance, and financial statements
• Awareness of TDS provisions including applicable rates, deduction timelines, and filing of TDS returns (Form 26Q)
• Ability to prepare MIS reports including monthly sales summaries, expense reports, and cash flow statements for management review
• Basic data analysis skills to identify trends in sales, purchases, and expenses using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts)

Good to Have (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

• Prior experience in the paint, hardware, building materials, or power tools industry
• Familiarity with Tally ERP or similar accounting software
• Knowledge of e-way bill generation on the GST portal
• Basic understanding of inventory management practices

Pay: ₹20,000.00 per month
