This is an unpaid internship Summary Our IOP Masters level internship aims to assist in developing competent and ethical entry level clinicians who are confident in their ability to provide quality specialized treatment to children adolescents and adults experiencing obsessive compulsive anxiety and trauma related disorders This internship is based within OCD Anxiety Centers Intensive Outpatient Program IOP where interns will obtain professionalclinical development related to individual and family psychotherapy crisis management various forms of group facilitation and documentation Interns will develop their practical understanding of evidence based therapeutic interventions such as exposure and response prevention therapy ERP dialectical behavior therapy DBT cognitive behavior therapy CBT dialectical behavior therapy prolonged exposure DBT PE and crisis response planning Interns may also have the opportunity to create a community andor an organizational project working with our marketing outreach quality and assurance or office management teams Company At OCD Anxiety Centers we are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those struggling with anxiety disorders Through evidence based practices and continuous learning we strive to provide the highest quality care to our clients and their families If youre seeking a rewarding career where you can grow both personally and professionally we invite you to be a part of our team Start Dates Our centers are able to provide internship opportunities year round at all three of our locations We interview and accept interns based on our total available intern spots available supervisors and fit We are currently taking applications for 2026 Intern Programs Accepted Interns must be actively engaged in a masters degree program or higher All clinical interns must be pursuing a graduate degree in social work clinical mental health counseling marriage and family therapy or related field Application Process Applicants should complete an application for the internship placement you are interested in from our careers page Be sure to apply for the placement that best aligns with the internship level and location you are seeking Internship Objectives Supports and ensures the clinical team and clients function safely effectively and efficiently to promote the best quality and output standardsSupports scheduling specific department task completion communication conflict resolution critical thinking and time and priority managementCollaborates with their supervisor associate clinical director Clinical Director and Clinical Project Coordinator to ensure the maintenance of treatment fidelity company policy and procedure and client satisfactionFunctions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment teamTakes an active role in supporting and modeling TOATC business processes that are both current and in development while supporting and cultivating a positive culture on their teamProvides validation in a warm safe environment and keeps clients motivated to work through distress and eliminate neutralizing behaviorsAdheres to all company policies and proceduresPresents self in a professional mannerPrimary Responsibilities Represents their title as an Intern in transparent and professional manner at all times with both employees and clientsfamiliesAttends weekly supervision individualgroup supervision varies based on school requirementsAttends treatment team meetingsAttends weekly therapist trainingTrains up to and maintains a caseload of IOP clients by providing and directing psychotherapeutic intervention during treatment for OCD and other mental health disorders which will include case conceptualizations development of treatment plans and perpetuating a skillful and organized IOPCo facilitatesFacilitates various IOP groupsLearns and conducts de escalation techniques as well as crisis planning and managementMaintains comprehensive and timely documentation related to progress notes group therapy notes etcProvides case management related to client caseloadMaintains communication between their associate clinical director and clinical assistant teamSupports in maintaining client satisfactionEnsures clear communication about school expectations including holiday breaks to both their clinical team and to their clients in a timely clear conscious and professional mannerAssumes tasks related to clinical treatment that may consist of clerical clinical assistant and or project development as neededRequired Qualifications Proficient knowledge of computers including Microsoft Word Excel and other computer softwareAccurate and efficient electronic data entryPunctual and maintain excellent attendanceOrganized detail oriented takes initiative and completes job responsibilities independentlyMultitasking problem solving interpersonal and strong written and verbal communication skillsThrive in a changing work environment including inside outside and loud noise levelPhysical demands of the j
