Laboratory Technician I - Material Handler

HJF is seeking a Lab Technician I - Material Handler to provide support for a joint Department of War (DoW) and Veterans Affairs (VA) project to build a pulmonary and environmental pathology registry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in sorting, filing, and storing materials associated with this project. This position will be in support of the Joint Pathology Center (JPC) in Silver Spring, MD.

Due to clearance requirements, this position may require U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a T3/Secret Security Clearance.

This position will work the 2nd shift which is 1:00pm-9:30pm.

The position will be in support of the John P. Murtha Cancer Center located at the Joint Pathology Center in Silver Spring, MD. The John P. Murtha Cancer Center at Walter Reed Bethesda is a modern, patient-centric, tri-service military healthcare facility. Its comprehensive core of military and civilian oncologists and other cancer-trained clinicians and researchers provide multidisciplinary cancer-care delivery and patient-family support services.
