Expected teaching day(s) to occur between Monday to Friday. Note: These are remote positions. Fanshawe College is seeking interested and experienced legal professionals to join our team as part-time Professors in the School of Public Safety. Why This Role Is Important Reporting to the Program Manager, part-time Professors at Fanshawe College are responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment for students. Availability for in-person on campus delivery is required for most courses, and successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario. We require qualified faculty to teach across the following area: Family Legal Services Provider (FLSP) Certificate program An overview of the program and courses can be found here: Family Legal Services Provider | Fanshawe College What You'll Bring Post-secondary 4-year in University Law Program Master’s degree in a related field of study and/or Bachelor of Education/Master of Education is an asset Minimum 5 years of recent family law practice experience as a lawyer within the Province of Ontario is required L1 License in good standing with Law Society of Ontario is required (must provide LSO number) Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the challenges of diverse student groups is an asset Teaching Experience in a post secondary institution is an asset Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success Excellent communicator Strong interpersonal skills Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred Fanshawe College uses Workday to manage recruitment and hiring processes.
