Shift: Days (Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm)

SUMMARY

The Public Relations and Communications Specialist is a strategic storyteller responsible for elevating the company’s brand and reputation through integrated corporate communications. This role develops and executes cohesive internal and external messaging aligned with organizational goals. From press releases and executive speeches to social media, blogs, and marketing materials, the Specialist ensures all communications are consistent, engaging, and reflective of the company’s voice and values.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strengthen the company’s brand through strategic public relations and marketing initiatives.

Plan, write, and edit a wide range of internal and external communications, including press releases, blogs, newsletters, speeches, scripts, brochures, and information packages.

Ensure all messaging is aligned with brand standards and organizational objectives.

Maintain and update internal communication platforms such as the Intranet, HCM Broadcast, and SharePoint.

Identify and pursue media opportunities to enhance external visibility and public perception.

Develop news pitches, statements, and key messaging that reflect the company’s voice and values.

Build and maintain relationships with non-profit organizations and community partners to promote CSR initiatives and events.

Support crisis communication planning and execution to ensure timely and accurate messaging.

Assist in planning and executing internal and external corporate events that support company culture and brand presence.

Lead the strategy, planning, scheduling, and management of all social media channels.

Create and curate platform-specific content aligned with corporate objectives and target audiences.

Manage engagement across social platforms, including monitoring and responding to comments and messages.

Track and analyze communication and social media metrics to measure effectiveness and guide future strategies.

Collaborate with graphic designers to ensure timely delivery of creative assets aligned with campaign goals.

Coordinate and execute company events such as charity events, employee gala, etc.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a similar role.

Exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple formats.

Strong verbal communication and storytelling abilities.

Experience with media relations and developing press materials.

Knowledge of crisis communication planning and response.

Proven experience managing social media strategies and content.

Ability to analyze and interpret digital and social media performance metrics.

Experience executing internal and external communication campaigns.

Event planning and coordination experience.

Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proficiency with communication tools (e.g., Outlook, email marketing platforms, analytics tools).

WORKING CONDITIONS

Full-time position based on a 40-hour work week.

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Occasional travel may be required.

Flexibility to work outside regular hours or on alternate shifts to support employees and managers.

Manual dexterity required for computer and peripheral use.

Overtime may be required based on business needs.
