Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented recent graduate to join our accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in accounting and a genuine interest in the commercial real estate industry.
The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree and, preferably, internship or coursework exposure to real estate or property accounting. We are willing to train the right individual—what matters most is strong accounting fundamentals, work ethic, and interest in real estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly close process for a portfolio of office and multi-family properties
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including rent roll and tenant billing
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Track and record property-level expenses, accruals, and capital expenditures
- Help with budgeting and variance analysis
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with property management and asset management teams
- Support external auditors and tax preparers as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- 0–2 years of experience (internship experience strongly preferred)
- Exposure to real estate, property accounting, or finance is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP basics)
- Proficiency in Excel (basic formulas, data organization)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of responsibilities
- Interest in commercial real estate is essential
