Job Summary

Autosonline is a used vehicle dealership built on a principle that most dealerships only talk about: complete transparency. Every vehicle is listed at one low fixed price — the same for every buyer. Every vehicle comes with a pre-inspection report and a Carfax, shared with the client before any decision is made. Three buying options are presented clearly, and the client chooses. No negotiation. No surprises.

The Automotive Specialist is the single point of contact for every client — from their first visit through vehicle selection, purchase, financing, delivery, and ongoing service. This is not a conventional sales role. It is a full-scope client relationship role for someone who is genuinely good with people and takes pride in doing things the right way.

Responsibilities

Client experience

  • Receive clients prepared by our BDC team — they arrive having already seen the vehicle's inspection report, history, and three buying option prices.
  • Greet every client by name. Walk the vehicle. Present the buying options on paper. Let the client decide.
  • Accompany every test drive and guide the client through the selection process with confidence and honesty.
  • Complete the sale — Preliminary Bill of Sale, deposit, and handoff to the finance team.
  • Manage the complete sale for clients that arrive without BDC involvement.

Financing & aftermarket

  • Present and manage the credit and financing process for each client.
  • Present safety certification, reconditioning options, and extended warranty coverage as part of every transaction — not as an add-on afterthought.
  • Understand the three buying options and their pricing well enough to explain them clearly to any client.

Service advisory

  • Autosonline operates a service department at Carp Road. The Specialist is the client's connection to service for the life of the vehicle.
  • Book the first service appointment before the keys are handed over at delivery.
  • Manage post-delivery service inquiries and reconnect clients to the service team as needed.

Client relationship & CRM

  • Maintain daily contact with every sold client from deposit to delivery. One person — no handoffs.
  • Log all client interactions, deal stages, and follow-up activity in AutoRaptor before the end of every shift.
  • Follow up with every client within 48 hours of delivery. A satisfied client refers friends and family.

Skills

  • We are not looking for the best negotiator. We are looking for the most trustworthy.

Character

  • Genuinely warm and professional — clients trust you quickly and without reservation.
  • Honest by instinct — you disclose first and manage the conversation from there.
  • Comfortable with money conversations — you can discuss budgets, payments, and financing in plain language without awkwardness.
  • The kind of person who would bring a friend or family member to buy a car where you work.

Experience

  • Strong verbal communication — clear, warm, and professional in person and by phone.
  • Organised and process-driven — you follow a system consistently and take pride in doing it right every time.
  • Comfortable with basic financial calculations — payments, terms, and rates.
  • Experience in automotive sales, financial services, hospitality, or a client-facing advisory role is an asset. The right values matter more than the right resume.
  • Valid OMVIC Motor Vehicle Salesperson registration, or genuine willingness to obtain it as a condition of employment.
  • Bilingual in French and English, or other languages, is an asset in serving Ottawa's diverse community.

Pay: $75,000.00-$156,105.75 per year
