The Balmoral Group is seeking an IT & Server Administrator to join its Winter Park office. This role will support and manage on-premise network and server infrastructure, system security, and mission-critical applications including Office 2024, Microsoft Exchange, and SQL Server. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to balance hands-on technical support with long-term IT planning and compliance. In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate is able to communicate effectively and strategically present recommendations to decision-makers and leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate between The Balmoral Group and our IT management company
- Assist with Managing and maintaining Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and Windows Server environments in an on-premises server configuration
- Monitor system performance, backups, patching, and data security
- Support and troubleshoot networking, firewall, and VPN configurations
- Present technical information clearly and strategically to non-technical stakeholders and decision-makers
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols and disaster recovery plans
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and licensing
- Coordinate with leadership and external vendors to ensure reliable IT operations across all offices
- Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system reliability, scalability, and security
To Be Successful In This Position You Will Ideally Have...
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of IT administration experience, preferably in a professional services or engineering environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and Windows Server administration
- Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator are strongly preferred
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
- Familiarity with engineering and GIS applications (Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, QGIS,) is a plus
- Familiarity with Python and R for coding applications is a plus
