SDET (Sr. QA Automation Engineer)Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer (SDET) with strong expertise in both UI and API automation. The ideal candidate should have handson experience working with modern JavaScript/TypeScriptbased automation frameworks along with C, Selenium, and should be comfortable working in cloudbased environments like AWS.
This role requires a strong focus on automation quality, test coverage, and leveraging modern AIassisted development tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI and API testing
- Develop UI automation scripts using:
- JavaScript/TypeScript with WDIO (Webdriver IO)
- C with Selenium WebDriver
- Build and execute API automation tests using JavaScript and Postman
- Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing
- Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Perform test data validation using SQL (joins, queries, data checks)
- Utilize GitHub Copilot effectively to improve development speed and code quality
- Work with AWS environments for deployment validation and environmentspecific testing
- Identify, log, and track defects with clear documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks and processes
Required Skills
- Strong handson experience in JavaScript/TypeScript automation frameworks IN WDIO
- Solid experience in UI Automation using C with Selenium (mandatory)
- Experience in API Automation using JavaScript and Postman
- Good working knowledge of AWS services and environments (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of SQL (including joins and data validation queries)
- Mandatory experience using GitHub Copilot for automation development
- Good understanding of software testing lifecycle and QA methodologies
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, agile environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, etc.)
- Knowledge of performance or security testing basics
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Prior experience in productbased or SaaS environments
