The Role
We are seeking a technically sharp and growth-driven Technical Sales Engineer (2–5 years of experience) to join our team in Vadodara. In this role, you will lead our B2B consultative technical sales efforts, leveraging your core instrumentation and panel engineering background to architect and sell end-to-end industrial control solutions, premium hardware, and custom-built panels.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultative Automation Sales: Identify production bottlenecks at client facilities and position THATBOT's extensive industrial automation portfolio (DCS, PLC, SCADA, Turnkey Solutions, and Custom Automation).
- Control Panel Solutions Business: Drive sales for our comprehensive engineering design and build capabilities, including PLC Panels, DCS Panels, VFD Panels, MCC Panels, and custom Control Desks.
- Technical Scoping & Estimation: Analyze application requirements and collaborate with internal engineering teams to build accurate technical proposals, bills of materials (BOM), and system architectures.
- Key Account Management: Maintain and expand relationships with Plant Heads, Project Managers, and Automation Leads across key sectors (including the high-demand Tyre industry, Glass, and Pharma).
- Technical Demos & Presentations: Deliver compelling technical walkthroughs demonstrating the performance advantages of our integrated systems.
- What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control (I&C), Electronics & Communication (EC), Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven track record in technical sales or application engineering strictly within the Industrial Automation sector.
- Technical Core: Strong foundational knowledge of architectural control hardware, panels, and software ecosystems, including:
- Ecosystems: Siemens (S7-1500/1200, TIA Portal), Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley (Logix platforms), and ABB.
- System Architecture: Deep understanding of PLC, DCS, & SCADA system integration.
- Electrical Hardware: Strong familiarity with PLC/DCS/MCC/VFD panels, Switchgears, and infrastructure components from brands like Phoenix Contact and Schneider.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to easily translate complex automation logic and panel engineering specifications into clear business benefits for clients.
