Job Title: Risk Management Specialists (2 Positions) – Civil Infrastructure / Capital Projects
We are currently seeking two experienced Risk Management Specialists to support large-scale capital and infrastructure projects within a PMO environment. One role will support the Project Delivery team, and the other will support Major Projects.
Note*
This is a project risk-focused role (not Enterprise Risk Management)
Location:
North York, ON (Hybrid – primarily onsite with some remote flexibility)
Duration:
12-month contract with potential extensions
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate project risk workshops and meetings to identify, assess, and prioritize risks
- Develop, maintain, and update project risk registers
- Support project teams in implementing and maintaining risk management practices
- Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulations
- Analyze cost and schedule uncertainties to support risk-informed decision-making
- Develop risk profiles and compare against project contingencies (cost, schedule, etc.)
- Provide regular reporting, including quarterly risk reports to project stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of risk management procedures and work instructions
Deliverables
- Updated and maintained risk registers
- Quantitative and qualitative risk analysis reports
- Quarterly risk reports and dashboards
- Ad hoc reporting as required
Qualifications and Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in project risk management, preferably within civil infrastructure or construction environments
- Experience reviewing technical documents such as drawings, schedules, and cost estimates to identify project risks
- Proven experience facilitating risk workshops with cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience with cost and schedule risk analysis
- Familiarity with tools such as Monte Carlo, Oracle PRA, or @Risk
- Solid understanding of engineering and construction methodologies
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Education
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) or a related discipline
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, or project management
Assets
- Relevant certifications from organizations such as Project Management Institute (PMI) or AACE International (AACE)
