Engineering- Backend- RTI

You will be part of a team at Tekion that is positively disrupting the automotive industry with the first and fastest cloud-native automotive platform. As a Backend Software Engineer/Architect, your role will involve designing and building backend solutions for complex business workflows and high-throughput systems. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to create world-class products and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build backend solutions for complex business workflows and high-throughput systems.
• Own components end-to-end from design to continuous enhancements.
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate engineering output and maintain quality standards.
• Utilize AI to draft HLD/LLD documents, review AI-generated suggestions critically, and implement key components using AI-assisted development practices.
• Build and scale agentic workflows/services focusing on reliability, observability, and safe execution.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize latency, throughput, and system efficiency.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers, conduct design and code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, UI/UX, and leadership for clear requirements and smooth delivery.
• Deliver high-quality outcomes on time in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in computer science or relevant fields.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Software Development.
• Strong sense of ownership and excellent Java and object-oriented development skills.
• Experience in building and scaling microservices, solid understanding of at least one NoSQL database.
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting, and diagnosing.
• Expected to be a role model for young engineers, enforce code quality within the team.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
