Techsense Inc. is a Managed Service Provider that was founded in Toronto in 2004. We are growing, and looking for a responsible and hard working IT Technician to assist with network deployments/Remote IT Support in Toronto and the GTA.

We are looking for an IT Technician to join our team. This position takes on two roles, one mainly as Remote Network Administrator, where you will play a critical role in providing computer and network-related support to our clients. Second role, performing network installations and upgrades for customers at their location(s).

Key Responsibilities:

  • *Main Role and Key Responsibilities**:
  • Provide technical support to clients by troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure efficient IT operations.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions.
  • Perform system backups and data recovery procedures.
  • Complete setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
  • *Secondary Role and Key Responsibilities**:
  • Go onsite to perform network installations and upgrades.
  • Perform staging of equipment in the lab.
  • Install and configure new equipment.
  • Installation of CAT6 cabling. (Physical work)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
  • *Qualifications**:
  • At least 3 years of experience with dealing with networks and computers troubleshooting
  • Advanced network administrator and server troubleshooting
  • Network certification or MCSE a plus
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365 operating systems.
  • Experience with Antivirus and Data Backups
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
  • Willing to go onsite to provide IT support and troubleshooting
  • Willing to go onsite and perform physical network upgrades (such as pulling cables and mounting rack and switches)
  • *Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

  • *Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
