Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performing Azure-based environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure services, virtualization technologies, and enterprise-level infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
- Deploy and maintain Azure infrastructure including VMs, storage, networking, and identity services
- Manage and optimize Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions for performance and cost efficiency
- Configure and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) and hybrid identity setups
- Implement and maintain networking components such as VNets, NSGs, VPNs, and ExpressRoute
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
- Automate infrastructure deployment using ARM templates, Terraform, or PowerShell
- Ensure compliance with security policies, patching, and governance standards
- Collaborate with IT teams for migration of on-premises workloads to Azure
- Provide L2/L3 support for Azure and VDI-related incidents
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or system engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or other VDI technologies (e.g., Citrix, VMware Horizon)
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with Azure networking and security best practices
- Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring tools
- Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager is a plus
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (preferred)
