Azure infrastructure Engineer/ Azure Local VDI

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performing Azure-based environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure services, virtualization technologies, and enterprise-level infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
• Deploy and maintain Azure infrastructure including VMs, storage, networking, and identity services
• Manage and optimize Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions for performance and cost efficiency
• Configure and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) and hybrid identity setups
• Implement and maintain networking components such as VNets, NSGs, VPNs, and ExpressRoute
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
• Automate infrastructure deployment using ARM templates, Terraform, or PowerShell
• Ensure compliance with security policies, patching, and governance standards
• Collaborate with IT teams for migration of on-premises workloads to Azure
• Provide L2/L3 support for Azure and VDI-related incidents

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 3–7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or system engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or other VDI technologies (e.g., Citrix, VMware Horizon)
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
• Experience with Azure networking and security best practices
• Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell or Azure CLI
• Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring tools
• Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager is a plus

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (preferred)
