Associate Attorney - Family Law

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing practice based in Easton, Maryland, serving clients throughout Eastern Maryland.

This is a full-time, hybrid position for an attorney who is interested in handling a wide range of family law matters while gaining significant courtroom experience in jurisdictions across the Eastern Shore.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution.
• Handle cases including divorce, custody, child support, property division, protective orders, and other domestic matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
• Appear in court for hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials in courts across Eastern Maryland.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide strategic guidance and case updates.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Maryland Bar license in good standing (required).
• 3–5+ years of family law experience preferred.
• Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills.
• Excellent legal writing, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and effective client representation.

Pay: $89,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
