Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. About the role

In this role, you will lead complex, multi tool investigations and coordinate electrical materials, and reliability FA to drive root-cause resolution and corrective actions. You will design robust prevention systems, strengthen CTQ controls across the fab, and support QMS compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements. You will manage customer facing technical reports from modules on non-conforming materials, chair PCRB change management forums, contribute to PFMEA improvements, and maintain strong documentation for audits and nonconformances. The role also involves building dashboards/automations, performing data-driven analysis, and coaching junior Quality Engineers in problem-solving and statistical methods.

Essential Attributes

• Expert in SPC, DOE (screening, optimization, robustness), PFMEA, 8D, Change management and non-conformance management.
• Hands-on experience in using with JMP or any analytical software would be an added advantage
• Strong communication skills that enable in translating complex technical detail into clear, concise narratives.
• Knowledge of Standards: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AEC Q100/Q101, JEDEC reliability concepts.
• Understanding of reliability (HTOL, HAST, TC, ESD, latch up) and material characterization (SEM/EDX, XPS) would be beneficial
• Advanced excel knowledge or Power BI hands on experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi-lot, multi-tool investigations; use advanced tools and robust DOEs methods
• Coordinate FA (electrical, materials, reliability) and link findings to root cause and corrective actions.
• Architect prevention plans (mistake proofing, pokayoke, parameter hard-limits, inline monitors).
• Build control strategies for CTQs across process modules and audit effectiveness.
• Strengthen QMS against ISO 9001/IATF 16949 clauses; Participate with lead internal auditors in validation of CA/PA deployments and readiness for external audits.
• Maintain audit trails where required for changes, 8D, Non-conformance records etc.
• Own technical responses for key customers (8D quality reports, escape analyses, risk assessments).
• Chair weekly PCRB meetings for change management; contribute in PFMEA revisions and developing risk mitigations.
• Develop dashboards/automations for SPC, Change management, defectivity, and non-conformance cases (Major/Minor)
• Create SOPs for quality systems like SPC, Change-management, Rework, Non-compliance management, traceability and 8D and deploy to TSMPL fraternity.
• Transfer manufacturing quality applications from transfer partner working closely with AI digital teams.
• Troubleshoot issues during transfer of applications, propose and deploy enhancements as needed.
• Perform data drive analysis and liaise with modules to deploy continuous improvement actions.
• Coach junior QEs on methods, statistics, documentation quality, and shop-floor engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelors required; Master's preferred (Electrical and Electronics/Materials).
