Job Description
Role Overview:
The Sr. Market Research Analyst / Market Research Analyst supports the Real Estate Planning function by
conducting detailed market research, performing data and location analysis, and preparing insightful reports
to guide real estate expansion and decision-making. The role includes collecting and analyzing market
trends, evaluating demographic and geographic data, benchmarking store locations, and preparing
actionable research summaries for onshore real estate teams, and ensure accuracy, clarity, and timeliness in
delivering insights that influence strategic planning for current site selection, relocations, and portfolio
optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop market research content including demographic reports, competitor analysis, trade area
studies, and market trend summaries.
- Track competitor footprint, planned expansions, closures, and market activity.
- Perform quantitative and geospatial analysis (e.g., catchment area mapping, drivetime studies, footfall data,
population density)
- Score sites using multi-criteria frameworks: accessibility, costs, demand potential, competitive intensity,
workforce availability, and infrastructure
- Create structured reports, location feasibility summaries, and real estate intelligence briefs for
internal stakeholders.
- Ideate new approaches to market scoring, location evaluation, and geographic analysis.
- Draft supporting content for business cases, site recommendations, and real estate planning
presentations.
- Create visual layouts for market maps, heat charts, competitive landscape visuals, and demographic
illustrations.
- Prepare geographic and spatial analysis visuals for site planning exercises.
- Design templates for standard market research outputs, trackers, and KPI summaries.
- Compile, clean, and validate datasets related to market demographics, competitor locations, trade
area performance, and real estate metrics.
- Produce high-quality research reports, feasibility assessments, and market summaries.
- Edit and refine drafts, visual maps, and analytical representations to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis to identify patterns and support real estate
decisions.
- Share research outputs and location recommendations with onshore real estate planning teams.
- Optimize research processes by automating recurring reports and improving data collection
workflows.
