Job Description

As a Channel Sales Manager (Agency) at TATA AIG General Insurance Company Limited, your role will involve nurturing and expanding relationships with Agents to drive the distribution of insurance products. You will need to possess strong relationship-building abilities, effective communication skills, and an enthusiastic approach to customer and partner engagement.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • **Sales Strategy Development:** Design and implement channel sales strategies to achieve overall business goals and targets.
  • **Agent Management:** Drive recruitment and activation of agents, recruit and appoint producers/agents for General Insurance business.
  • **Engagement:** Motivate agents by organizing monthly meets, engagement activities, training programs, knowledge sharing & upgrading, awards & rewards, and feedback programs to ensure organizational goals are met.
  • **Training:** Coach and guide producers/agents to cross-sell and grow their business, support them in all activities related to policy issuance, servicing, and claims.
  • **Market Analysis:** Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • **LOB Development:** Develop all Agency LOBs like GWP, Health, IPA, CL to new benchmarks while ensuring business practices are in line with company standards.
  • **Compliance:** Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in sales operations. Ensure IRDAI compliance regarding licensing & commission payments to producers.
  • *Qualification Required:**
  • Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Banking/Insurance sales experience preferred.
  • *Preferred Skills:**
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
