Job Description

Overview

Tarvos Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the first line of technical support for our clients, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing endpoint hardware, software, and network environments. You will work both remotely and on-site at client locations, delivering high-quality IT support with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Hardware & Infrastructure Deployment

  • Configure and deploy endpoint hardware including laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals
  • Install and configure network infrastructure components such as routers, switches, and wireless access points
  • Set up and maintain print environments and peripheral devices

Software & Systems Administration

  • Deploy and manage Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
  • Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) and other cloud-based platforms
  • Manage endpoint security solutions including antivirus, EDR tools, and firewall configurations
  • Configure and support VPN and remote access solutions

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide day-to-day Level 1/2 support for hardware, software, and network issues via ticketing system
  • Diagnose and resolve complex endpoint problems, escalating to senior staff when appropriate
  • Replace and repair hardware components including SSDs, RAM, and network interface cards
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and recurring issues for the knowledge base

Backup & Data Management

  • Monitor and verify daily and weekly automated backup jobs; perform and validate file restorations
  • Ensure data integrity and support business continuity procedures
  • Assist with cloud migration and data management initiatives

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on IT support experience in a professional or client-facing environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2019/2022)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
  • Familiarity with endpoint security tools, patch management, and MDM solutions (e.g., Intune)
  • Experience with ITSM/ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar
  • Comfortable with basic PowerShell scripting for automation tasks is an asset

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a 4 days per week, Monday–Thursday. The role may involve travel to client sites; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Pay: $44,339.32-$68,250.00 per year
