Position Summary

Tangent International is urgently hiring an experienced Front Office (FO) Manager to lead real‑time network operations and ensure high service availability across telecom networks in Africa. This role is pivotal in maintaining service quality, managing incidents, and driving operational excellence within a 24/7 network environment.

Detailed Job Description

As an FO Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day network monitoring and first‑level maintenance activities, ensuring rapid fault detection, troubleshooting, and escalation. You will lead front office operations responsible for maintaining SLA adherence and service stability across all network nodes. The role involves close coordination with field support teams, engineering units, and stakeholders to minimize service disruption during incidents and planned activities. You will also manage change and preventive maintenance processes while ensuring compliance with operational standards and procedures. This is a senior operational role requiring strong telecom expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to perform effectively in mission‑critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance and ensure optimal service availability across all network nodes
  • Identify faults, perform initial troubleshooting, and elevate issues to relevant support teams
  • Maintain high service quality standards in line with operational procedures and company policies
  • Lead first‑level maintenance activities and incident analysis within FO operations
  • Coordinate with field support teams for power, transmission, or hardware‑related issues
  • Provide timely fault notifications, network status updates, and operational reports
  • Manage change activities to ensure planned network interventions are executed with minimal impact
  • Coordinate stakeholder communications before, during, and after network changes
  • Verify post‑activity network status and communicate outcomes effectively
  • Implement preventive maintenance practices and execute ad‑hoc operational tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Communication Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications or network operations
  • Strong understanding of telecom network operations and fault management processes
  • Experience in monitoring large‑scale telecom networks and handling incidents
  • Solid knowledge of SLA/KPI management and service assurance
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to work in shift‑based, high‑pressure operational environments
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills

  • Experience working in NOC or FO leadership roles
  • Exposure to multi‑vendor or multi‑technology telecom environments
