Job Description
Position: Application Engineer (L1)
Locations: Ahmedabad (1), Chennai (2), Delhi NCR (2), Pune (2), Bangalore
Reporting To: Territory Sales Manager
Purpose of the Role:
Drive ambitious sales growth in the assigned territory
Develop business opportunities in focus markets
Achieve product specification and approvals with institutions and OEMs
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Educational Qualification:
B.E. (Mechanical) – Mandatory
Experience
1 to 6 years in Adhesive, sealants, and industrial consumables products industry
Functional / Technical Expertise:
Pre-sales and technical consultation
Understanding of product specifications, operational limitations, and engineering principles
Technical support and troubleshooting skills
Key Responsibilities:
Develop strong knowledge of adhesive product technologies and applications
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
Create and manage a strong project pipeline to support business growth
Travel extensively within the assigned territory
Meet prospective clients regularly, understand their requirements, and recommend suitable solutions
Ensure timely submission of sales reports and adherence to deadlines
Key Interactions:
External – Customers:
Meet prospective clients daily to assess requirements and offer solutions
Conduct product demonstrations and provide ongoing support
Build long-term business relationships
Internal Teams:
Reporting Manager: Share regular updates on sales progress and challenges
Purchase Manager: Coordinate for timely material procurement
Accounts Team: Support billing and payment follow-ups
Management Team: Align on sales performance and business strategies
Working Conditions:
90% field travel within assigned territory
Regular client visits for meetings and product demonstrations
