Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coder to join our healthcare team in India. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in medical coding, with a strong understanding of coding guidelines and regulations. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate coding of medical records, contributing to the overall efficiency and compliance of our healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records for coding purposes.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of coding activities.
• Participate in quality assurance and audits to ensure coding accuracy.
• Stay updated with the latest coding practices and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2-7 years of experience in medical coding or a related field.
• Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
